Maybe you’re here because you purchased a home from an avid gardener...the gardens looked beautiful when you moved in, but a season or two later maybe not so much. Or perhaps you love your gardens but just can’t physically do the work any longer, or maybe you just don’t have the time, or just don’t want to take care of things yourself.
Whatever the reason, I’m here to help!
When you hire Spade + Thistle you’re really hiring me, and me alone. It's just me. No part-timers, no lazy landscapers. That means that you can be assured you’ll receive the individualized service, great communication, high standard of work, and attention to detail that only a business owner with a passion for their trade can provide.

services
My service offering is summed up nicely by my tagline: Gardens, Edges, Shrubs, Hedges.
Those four areas are the primary focus of my business. Broadly speaking, they could all fit under the heading of garden maintenance and all that goes along with that.
Garden maintenance encompasses spring and fall cleanups, keeping gardens weed free, edging beds, and trimming shrubs & hedges as needed.
Based in Petersburg, I primarily serve the areas of Kitchener-Waterloo & Wilmot Township

I primarily work on a time and materials basis; services are billed at an hourly rate of $80.00 + HST.
Materials supplied by me are at cost + 25% or by you, the customer.
